Description: Our program requires a full-time Employment Services Associate who will be responsible for driving?professional level placements.? This role will have the primary responsibility for building employer relationships and?working with clients to facilitate placements in the Engineering, HR, Nonprofit, and Legal fields. He/she will be?expected to develop employer contacts through cold calling, networking, and cultivating prospective contacts to?generate job placement leads. This program is performance-based, and success is measured by meeting annual?targets.

Core Responsibilities:?

  • ?Initiates and maintains ongoing contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives to promote?programs for participant placements; makes cold calls to potential employers;
  • ?Competently explains the benefits and employment support services provided to clients, including?addressing employer?s needs; researching agencies, and other resources for job leads;
  • locating jobs for?participants who have successfully completed our in-house training programs;
  • ?Collects data from employers related to job orders including job requirements and skills;
  • matches job skills?with client qualifications;
  • refers qualified applicants to employers and conducts necessary follow-up when?applicants are placed in positions;
  • ?Participates in employer outreach and recruitment activities, and coordinates employer events;
  • ?Advises and educates clients on appropriate job search techniques, provides client feedback and coaching?on areas of improvement as needed;
  • ?Preps clients for interviews; providing employment resources and industry specific information and feedback?to clients as needed;
  • ?Ensures documentation of client interactions and activity in Salesforce;

Qualifications:

  • ?Bachelor?s degree plus 2-5 years experience in recruiting, job readiness training, marketing, job?development/placement and career counseling
  • Sales and marketing background highly desirable, and experience in the Engineering, and Legal?Sector, highly desirable
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills, and be proficient in Excel, and Word
  • Strong ability to perform, prioritize, and coordinate a variety of duties and meet critical deadlines, problem-solving and resourcefulness required to develop new ideas and methods
  • ?Sensitivity to and understanding of issues of concern to immigrants and refugees
  • ?Commitment to the mission and values of Upwardly Global

Time Required: M-F, with occasional evening and weekend hours required
