The Duggar brood ? including their newest addition, baby Josie ? filled every inch of the Today Show set Tuesday morning, with only good news to report on their exceptionally large family.
America watched the Duggars, whose lives play out publicly on the TLC series 19 Kids and Counting, endure scary times after their youngest, Josie ? now 1 year and 5 months ? was born premature at just 25 weeks.
"Looking at Josie today you would never know that she only weighed 22 ounces at birth," said Lauer of the healthy baby girl, who contentedly sipped a bottle on air.
Her mother, Michelle Duggar, agreed.
"She is a miracle baby and all of us we are so lucky to have her," Michelle said. "Just the fact that she's here is just that something to be grateful about."
With baby Josie recovered and healthy, Michelle and husband Jim Bob have published their second book, A Love that Multiplies: A Close Up View of How They Make it Work, which provides an insider look at how peace and simplicity manage to reign in the overflowing Duggar house.
In keeping with their giving nature, the family has also spent their time taking part in rescue efforts in the aftermath the Joplin tornadoes.
And what will the future hold for new generations of Duggars?
"Based on your experience in this family, are you more likely or less likely to go forward as adults and have a very large family?" Matt Lauer asked the Duggar children.
"More likely," they replied. "Our parents have always taught us that we're best friends, so having your best friends with you all the time, your brothers and sisters, [is] just really special."
And the proof is in the pudding: Eldest child Josh Duggar, 22, told viewers that he and his wife Anna are waiting the arrival of their second child.
Joked Josh of his own growing brood: "We might be going for 25."
