PumpUp Wants to Pump You Up in 2013

If you have trouble following through with resolutions to improve your fitness, PumpUp is prepared to help. This personal fitness coach app customizes your workout, so you are more likely to stick with this year?s resolution to get into better shape.

Based in Ontario, Canada, and founded in May 2012 by Garrett Gottlieb and Phil Jacobson, PumpUp recently released its free-to-download iOS app in December 2012.

When RESCUECOM asked how they got the idea for PumpUp, Jacobson, also CEO, responded, ?Garrett was bored with the same old routine he always did at the gym and he started to plateau. He was looking for something that gave him a high-quality personalized routine and that just didn?t really exist. So we teamed up to build PumpUp.??

To create a workout, the app asks some basic questions with choices. Some examples are what is your training goal, current fitness level, how long do you want to work out and where, and what equipment do you want to use, including weights, cardio and machines?

PumpUp suggests a workout routine, which you can continue to customize. The company says the program can help even those who are not used to working out. The app will show you how to perform each aspect of the workout.

When you reach one target, the app provides another, with your goals still in mind. For example, once you demonstrate mastery at one level, you can add more repetitions or lift a little more weight.

To maintain and monitor your workout schedule, you count on PumpUp through your iPhone. If it should stop working, contact experienced specialists, such as RESCUECOM, for fast iPhone repair.

?Personally, my goal is to build some more muscle for the summer,? Jacobson noted. ?PumpUp will help me reach it by keeping me on track and providing me with an awesome personalized muscle building plan!?

PumpUp Pat, the company?s blue mascot, is ready to assist during your fitness journey. Encouraging words from the app are supposed to help motivate you. Motivation can be the desire to look better or be healthier, for example.

The PumpUp website blog also offers encouragement and support. An article about keeping new year?s resolutions suggests breaking a goal down into achievable steps, such as marking every five pounds toward a 20-pound weight loss.

If you need tech support for your electronic devices, even in the evening or on a weekend, make a 2013 resolution to contact computer professionals, such as RESCUECOM.

Blog posts also remind you of things you can do to stay healthy, such as eat wisely, get enough sleep and have an exercise program routine.

The PumpUp monthly service cost is $2.99 until the end of January 2013, when the monthly subscription price will rise to $4.99.

?In 2013, we?re focused on continuing to build out the PumpUp app by adding great features and moving onto other platforms, like Android,? Jacobson continued. ?We?re looking into other product extensions as well.?
